Whether you’re planning a late-spring celebration or gearing up for a summer gathering, Silicon Valley has some of the most beautiful and diverse event venues in California. From historic Victorian estates to modern urban rooftops, the options are as varied as the events themselves.
As a caterer that has served hundreds of events across the Bay Area, from intimate garden ceremonies to large-scale corporate galas, we’ve worked in every setting imaginable. Here are ten venues we know and love, along with some thoughts on what to serve your guests at each one.
1. Gamble Garden, Palo Alto
One of Palo Alto’s most beloved hidden gems, Gamble Garden offers intimate outdoor settings that feel a world away from the surrounding tech corridor. With capacity up to 50 guests, the Rose Garden, Wisteria Garden, and Tea House Patio each offer their own atmosphere, from formal English-garden elegance to relaxed garden party charm.
What to serve here: Our Light & Bright buffet menu ($28 pp) is a natural fit for this setting. The Citrus Grilled Chicken and Grilled Asparagus complement the garden’s fresh, airy palette beautifully. For larger budgets, the Spring in the Valley dual entree buffet package ($42 pp) with Cedar Plank Salmon elevates the experience further.
2. Hakone Gardens, Saratoga
Tucked into the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, Hakone Gardens is one of the oldest Japanese-style gardens in the Western Hemisphere. The Moon Bridge, Zen House, Wisteria Pavilion, and Bamboo Forest create an atmosphere of rare tranquility, ideal for events where the setting speaks as loudly as the food.
What to serve here: The refined aesthetic of Hakone calls for elevated presentation. Our Blossom Bistro dual entree buffet package ($42 pp), with Artichoke Braised Chicken Thighs and Garlic Lemon Salmon, translates beautifully here. Chef-attended stations work particularly well for the intimate flow of this venue.
3. San Jose Clubhouse, San Jose
With over a century of history, the San Jose Clubhouse is a landmark venue for intimate events in the heart of downtown San Jose. The warm, character-rich interiors make it an ideal setting for milestone celebrations, nonprofit galas, and corporate dinners.
What to serve here: This venue calls for generous service. Our Spring in the Valley dual entree buffet package ($42 pp), Grilled Tri-Tip with Comanche Creek green garlic chimichurri, Wild Rice Pilaf, and a choice of salad, creates a communal dining experience that fits the clubhouse’s convivial character perfectly.
4. Saratoga Foothill Club, Saratoga
A landmark of Saratoga’s history, the Saratoga Foothill Club offers a generous foyer with beautiful natural lighting, perfect for wedding receptions, corporate events, and community celebrations. The combination of historic architecture and flexible indoor-outdoor flow makes it one of the most versatile venues in the South Bay.
What to serve here: Full buffet service works exceptionally well here. For larger events, our dual entree buffet packages ($42 pp) suit the scale and formality of the space. For more casual corporate gatherings, our Rustic Garden single entree buffet ($28 pp) offers excellent value without sacrificing quality.
5. Winchester Mystery House, San Jose
One of Silicon Valley’s most iconic landmarks, the Winchester Mystery House is a Victorian mansion steeped in mystery and history, and one of our favorite venues for events that call for unforgettable atmosphere. The guided tours, winding corridors, and intriguing ambiance create an experience guests genuinely remember long after the evening ends.
What to serve here: The Winchester’s dramatic setting lends itself beautifully to cocktail-hour displays. Our seasonal small bites and passed appetizers complement the one-of-a-kind ambiance, and our single entree buffet packages ($28 pp) offer a great option for cocktail-forward receptions.
6. Ainsley House, Campbell
Campbell’s historic house museum, Ainsley House offers over 3,200 square feet of event space in the heart of downtown Campbell. As an a la carte venue, clients have full flexibility to customize their event. The outdoor garden is available from May through October, and the venue accommodates up to 200 guests.
What to serve here: Ainsley’s garden setting is ideal for our Light & Bright buffet menu ($28 pp) for casual daytime events, or the full dual entree Blossom Bistro buffet package ($42 pp) for evening celebrations. Both scale beautifully across the indoor and garden spaces.
7. Blanco Urban Venue, San Jose
Located in historic downtown San Jose, Blanco is the Bay Area’s premier urban event space. A three-story, 8,000-square-foot blank canvas ideal for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. The venue’s understated backdrop lets your event’s personality take center stage, and the rooftop is a standout feature for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and seated dinners.
What to serve here: Blanco’s sleek modern aesthetic pairs well with our elevated dual entree buffet packages ($42 pp). The rooftop setting is particularly well-suited to seasonal cocktail-hour spreads. Our farm-sourced seasonal small bites against a San Jose skyline backdrop is a combination that lands every time.
8. History Club of Los Gatos, Los Gatos
Tucked in the heart of downtown Los Gatos, the History Club is a unique venue offering an oasis of calm across its indoor and outdoor spaces. The clean lines of the clubhouse and serene gardens create a versatile palette, whether you’re hosting a wedding ceremony in the delicately landscaped garden with its intimate gazebo, or a cocktail reception in the spacious hall.
